The Jackson Hole Snow Devils are pleased about the changes introduced at the 2011's 36th Annual World Champsionship Snowmobile Hill Climb. With an all new course layout, vendor locations and spectator viewing, the event was bigger and better then ever! The Snow Devils worked hard on many different ideas and feel that the new layout worked out well for everyone involved.
The first major change was the layout of the course itself. In previous years, the racers started up on Snow King Mountain. Last year, however, the racers started at the very base of Snow King mountain. This gave the spectators an opportunity to see the racers and their impressive equipment up close and personal. The course had more obstacles integrated as well to truly separate the men from the boys. Being that this is the World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb, the Snow Devils feel that this new course design creates a new found direction in the sport of hill climbing that hopefully the racers enjoy.
The main goals behind the new layout were for safety purposes and better spectator viewing. However, another main reason was for the vendors. The new layout allows for more vendors and more premium spacing. Instead of having vendors inside the ball field, they are now situated on the outer perimeter of the ball field and along the streets as before. The race trailer parking has been replaced with vendors. We feel that this creates a better flow for the event and allows vendors to showcase their products on a larger level.
As a result of the new layout, the Snow Devils have more seating areas for spectators, better viewing of the Jumbo Tron video and more areas to see competitors race up Snow King Mountain. The food and beverage tents are situated in a way so that the spectators are not standing on slippery slopes, but are able to stand on level asphalt. Those are just a few of the exciting changes that have taken place!
All in all, the Snow Devils could not be more excited about the 2013 Hill Climb as we have continued to refine our layout. We hope to see all of you there for some great racing action! Thank you for your support! |
